The Future of Design Looks Bright: Louis Poulsen Supports Student Fellowship
Good news deserves a spotlight: Beginning May 1 2022, legacy Danish lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen will donate a portion of online sales of the Panthella Portable Lamp to support the Be Original Americas Student Fellowship and other educational initiatives.
The Panthella lamp was originally designed in 1971 by Verner Panton, the creator of the iconic Panton Chair. Form was always on Panton’s mind, and rather than working with the traditional Scandinavian hardwoods, Panton loved to innovate with new materials, finishes, and light function. Panton once said, “The main purpose of my work is to provoke people into using their imagination”. Now, the sculptural, sophisticated Panthella Portable can illuminate great ideas in any environment, and will support the development of the next generation of provocative, forward-thinking creatives.
This initiative runs May 1- July 31, 2022 on Louis Poulsen’s US e-commerce site only. You can shop the Panthella Portable light, or learn more about the success of last year’s Student Fellowship.
