2022 marked the 10-year anniversary of Be Original Americas. To celebrate the achievements made over the years, and simultaneously allow our members and supporters to play an active part in the milestone and further benefit from their membership, we will kicked off a North American celebratory exhibition in the fall of last year.

“Originality Deconstructed” is a traveling exhibition that opened in October 2022 in New York City and will continue to the West Coast in 2023. The idea and goal of the exhibition is to celebrate creativity by pulling back the curtain on the “how” and the “why” behind iconic and new products. Demystifying design will create a true experience of the value of authenticity. 

As such, the “deconstructed” component of the exhibition asks members to consider a product and/or material that can be taken apart and displayed for the audience to learn more about materiality, craftsmanship and quality.

Installations, talks and member-supplied “how it’s made” videos will immerse visitors and the public to understand the reality and elevate the value of original designs.

The exhibition is organized and executed in collaboration with ACE HOTEL, which hosts this rigorous program in three of its North American locations: New York City, Palm Springs and Los Angeles.
