Emeco | Virtual Fellowship

Look behind the scenes at Emeco and learn what “Made in America, often by hand, mostly from recycled materials, but always to last” really means. A fun and informative talk between Gregg Buchbinder, CEO of Emeco, who’s passion and creative mind has guided Emeco to its worldwide success and his daughter, Jaye Buchbinder, Produce Development Manager.  Both are strong advocates for producing and defending authenticity in design and our environment.

The Be Original Americas Virtual Fellowship offered Emeco an incredible opportunity to inspire the future designers of the world. We can future-proof the planet by educating the next generation to design sustainably.

Gregg Buchbinder

Gregg Buchbinder was born and raised in Southern California. He surfed every day before school, sometimes after school and occasionally during school. Being near and in the ocean gave him a strong appreciation for and connection to the environment. Buchbinder’s mother was creative and appreciated art and design. His father enjoyed making things, like furniture. Gregg’s life revolved around design, building things and his love for the ocean and concern for the environment. Under Gregg Buchbinder’s leadership, Emeco remains focused on making chairs in America, using sustainably sourced reclaimed, recycled, and repurposed materials, and always making products that are made to last.
