Georg Jensen | Virtual Fellowship

How often does one get an exclusive tour of the Copenhagen-based smithy and learn about the craftsmanship of fine silverware? Silver Manager, Jørgen Jacobsen, of Georg Jensen opens the doors to one of Denmark’s most celebrated design companies, alongside Jakob Mose Olesen, Marketing Director, North America.

There was definitely a silver lining to this year’s Virtual Fellowship, as all participating companies were able to share their individual stories and passion for authentic design to a much greater and global audience.

Jørgen Jacobsen

Jørgen Jacobsen started his career working in supply chain and sales functions in various industries. When he joined Georg Jensen as a factory manager in 2012, he found his calling. In 2014, he became responsible for the Georg Jensen Silver Smithies, a team of the most highly skilled people in this field in the world.

Now, his role has expanded to also be responsible for the Business Management of Silver at Georg Jensen. One of the most rewarding aspects of his role is the Georg Jensen collaboration with the Royal Danish Court making honorary medals, orders and repairs of the centuries old national silver heritage.
